Wendi Ekborg, AIA, LEED AP earned her Bachelor of Architecture at Ball State University in 1994. As a Principal at Davis, Ms. Ekborg is part of and provides leadership for the overall firm as well as within the Healthcare Practice Group. Her collective project experience includes greenfield acute care hospitals, outpatient medical and ambulatory care centers, as well as tenant planning and operational renovations. Her specialized interests include community focused, children’s healthcare, brain & spine rehabilitation, and behavioral healthcare facilities.

Wendi takes pride in creating spaces that promote a sense of wellness for the end user. Staff, patients, and visitors directly benefit from her team’s thoughtful approach to multi-faceted design integration. Wendi believes a positive journey through effective communication with the client and project team is essential to understanding elegant solutions that everyone can be inspired by and pleased with upon completion. She works toward a collaborative environment and finds joy working with her team and clients every day.

Wendi is LEAN Green Belt certified for facility design and consistently looks for ways to learn and improve, achieving the best quality result in each opportunity. In her 30 years in the profession, she is honored to be part of influencing positive change and outcomes in the environment of care.
