William D Evans graduated from the University of Wisconsin, earning a BBA degree in Accounting in 1980 and an MBA in 1984, majoring in Real Estate Investment.
Starting in 1985, Bill spent 5 years in institutional investment real estate in Denver Colorado, involved with loan production, property acquisitions, asset management, and disposition of various real estate product types including apartments, office buildings, and shopping centers.

The next 5 years Bill was based in Chicago, IL to manage a team challenged with stabilizing, repositioning and disposing/recapitalizing a portfolio of distressed properties, primarily investment grade apartments and office buildings valued well in excess of $500 million. Ultimately, a core group of assets were structured into three new joint ventures, which became a springboard to build a new company.

In 1996, Bill started investing for his own account, and soon founded and established Madison Realty Investors. As a Managing Director of Madison Realty Investors, Bill has been involved with the acquisition, ownership, and disposition of over 50 properties, exceeding 3,000 apartment units, and over 500,000 SF of commercial assets.
In addition to his role at Madison Realty Investors, Bill serves on the Advisory Boards to some local Denver based companies.
