Wine, liquor distributor to build 334,315 square feet

A Miami-based wine and liquor distributor will expand its Denver presence with a new warehouse/distribution facility at Interstate 70 and E-470 in Aurora.

Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits will occupy a 334,315-square-foot building to be built on approximately 25 acres in Prologis Park 70. A development plan approved by the city of Aurora allows the building to be expanded by 72,000 sf if future needs arise.

Colorado Aurora Property Partners LLC acquired the site from Prologis for $5 million. Construction is anticipated to start in the second quarter with completion by year-end.

“We performed a comprehensive metrowide survey of larger industrial land parcels, and this site quickly rose to the top because of location and quality of the business park for the long term,” said Bill Thompson, first vice president in CBRE’s Industrial & Logistics team in Denver.

Thompson represented the buyer in the land acquisition. Jim Bolt and Mike Camp, also of CBRE Industrial & Logistics, represented Prologis.
