Workiva: EUA’s design is employee centric

Community and collaborative spaces that feature comfortable seating and bright colors are intended to bring people together and promote camaraderie.

Workiva, a leading cloud provider of data, reporting and compliance solutions, wanted to consolidate two separate locations and reinvigorate and renovate its Denver office to help retain and recruit the best and brightest employees. EUA designed the space.

Recognized as one of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” Workiva is dedicated to creating an employee centric culture. Emphasis was put toward office planning to accommodate increased technology usage and small-group work areas. EUA’s design reflects Workiva’s commitment to its employees by creating a space that makes every person feel welcome and is centered around elevating employee’s drive to succeed, according to EUA’s Gillian Johnson.

The flowing Platte River provided design inspiration, using river rock at the reception desk, river bottom patterns echoed in carpet treatments and a reception area that features smoked glass reminiscent of morning mist.

Views of the river are capitalized on by placing employee areas by the riverside for everyone to enjoy.

Since Workiva is Iowa-based, elements from its Iowa office were used in the design but given an urban feel through customization specific to the culture of the Denver office.
