Freelance Enterprises, which manufactures commercial millwork, will expand out of its current location at 1851 W. 52ndAve. to the new space at 5151 Bannock St. this summer.

“Colorado Trade Center delivered on Freelance Enterprises’ desire to stay central, allowing the company to avoid the upcoming I-70 construction and offer a convenient location for their talent base,” said Jeremy Ballenger, senior vice president with CBRE Industrial & Logistics Services. “The property attributes and functionality were also a great fit for the company’s growing needs,” he said

Ballenger represented the tenant with Tyler Carner and Jessica Ostermick, also with CBRE Industrial & Logistics. Tyler Smith and Craig Myles of Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner, Conscience Bay Co.

Freelance Enterprises, founded in Denver in 1992, provides a one-stop solution for interior finishes, including fabrication, design, engineering and installation services. It manufactures all of its solid wood, laminate and solid surface products internally, working with suppliers to integrate materials like stone, glass, metal, upholstery and other specialty products.

“CBRE did an exceptional job of helping us identify a best-in-class facility that kept our workers within less than a mile of our existing location, allowing us to build an elite millwork facility in Denver without disrupting the lives of our employees. CBRE has continued to be a critical partner after the deal, helping drive the build-out of our facility,” said Patrick Dickinson, Freelance Enterprises CEO.

The company’s growth comes as construction projects across the Front Range trigger high demand for construction service and materials providers. At the end of the first quarter, more than 9 million sf of commercial projects were underway across metro Denver’s industrial, office and retail sectors, according to CBRE’s research.
