A SpringHill Suites hotel is on its way to the Colorado Mills shopping area.
Dallas-based Bedford Lodging will deliver the 127-room hotel in January 2019, catering to business travelers during the week and leisure travelers in the summer and on weekends.
The SpringHill Suites Lakewood Golden – Colorado Mills will occupy a 2-acre site at 1299 Colorado Mills Parkway in Lakewood. Bedford purchased the site from mall owner Simon. Located next to the mall, the site is surrounded by retail and restaurant venues and is across the street from Denver West Office Park.
“The Lakewood-Golden submarket is an excellent location for this all-suites brand to serve the expanding metro Denver lodging market,” commented Jeff Blackman, Bedford Lodging founder and president. In addition to large rooms, averaging 400 square feet, and other amenities, SpringHill hotels provide guests access to Marriott’s top-rated rewards program.
The four-story hotel will offer dedicated workspaces, spalike bathrooms, in-suite microwaves and mini-refridgerators as well as separate areas to sleep, work and relax. Other amenities will include free Wi-Fi, a lobby bar, business center, complimentary hot breakfast with healthy options, complimentary coffee and tea service, 24-hour staffing and daily housekeeping, a complimentary morning newspaper, guest laundry and same-day dry cleaning. There also will be an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, fitness room and 24-hour market.
Nearby employers include the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and FirstBank’s headquarters. The hotel site also is close to the Union Boulevard corridor, with the Denver Federal Center, St. Anthony Hospital campus and Western Area Power Administration headquarters.
