Culver’s to open Montrose location at River Landing project

The restaurant chain, whose menu includes burgers and frozen custard, will be the first Culver’s in southwest Colorado.

Culver’s is coming to Montrose.

WTD Enterprises LLC recently paid $950,000 for a 1.54-acre site at 3841 Wolverine Drive, at the southwest corner of South Townsend and Rio Grande avenues. The restaurant chain, whose menu includes burgers and frozen custard, will be the first Culver’s in southwest Colorado. Currently, the nearest Culver’s is in Glenwood Springs with another restaurant coming soon to Rifle. The more-than-4,000-square-foot restaurant is targeted to open by year-end.

“We successfully overcame many challenges caused by the pandemic while assisting the buyer in acquiring arguably the best undeveloped site in Montrose,” said Ian Elfner of NavPoint Real Estate Group. “The site is located within the River Landing project at a lighted intersection with tremendous exposure anchored by Super Target, Natural Grocers, Ross, Marshalls, Petco and many others. Culver’s will be a great addition to the Montrose community.”

Elfner represented the buyer. Max Gansline of The Staenberg Group represented the seller, River Landing Joint Venture LLC.
