Demolition to pave way for $100 million S’Park

S'Park
Demolition work is underway for S’Park.

Demolition is under way at the former Sutherlands lumberyard site in Boulder, which will house the $100 million S’Park development.

“This marks the initial transformation of the S’Park site, a milestone that both the development team and the Boulder community have long been anticipating,” said Scott Holton, principal of Element Properties. “We could not be more excited to begin preparing the site for vertical construction to begin later this year.”

S’Park will consist of approximately 100,000 rentable sf of Class A and creative office space, 145 units of luxury multifamily apartments, 38 affordable housing units and 40,000 sf of retail space. The project is targeted to become the first LEED-ND Platinum neighborhood in Colorado.

Demolition will take approximately two months, with infrastructure work beginning shortly thereafter. Vertical construction is planned to begin by the end of the year with completion in mid-2018.

Element Properties, Kinship Capital and The John Buck Co. are developing the project, which is part of Boulder Junction at 30th and Pearl streets.
