Elsy Studios brings brand-driven design to AvalonBay Communities space in DTC

Warm, natural colors and materials reflect the sense of adventure and connection to the natural environment that characterizes the Colorado lifestyle.

Elsy Studios, a Denver based full-service commercial interior design firm, recently completed AvalonBay Communities Inc.’s new 7,000-square-foot Denver office on the 10th floor of the 50Fifty office tower in the Denver Tech Center.

“Taking inspiration from AvalonBay Communities’ mission statement, ‘Creating a Better Way to Live,’ we worked closely with the local team to create a plan that supported their team members and reinforced their brand,” said Britney Heim, interior designer with Elsy Studios.

“To ensure a strong sense of place, we infused the design with an unmistakable Colorado vibe that echoes Denver’s diverse and vibrant culture.”

A Virginia-based multifamily housing development and management company with a strong presence on the East and West coasts, AvalonBay Communities sought a Denver office that felt distinct from its other offices across the country.

Throughout the design, Elsy incorporated warm, natural colors and materials to reflect the sense of adventure and connection to the natural environment that characterizes the Colorado lifestyle. Eye-catching architectural features on the floors, walls and ceilings further showcase Denver’s unique culture.

“Elsy Studios was the perfect partner to help us design our first ever office in Denver,” said Kathryn Schmidt, manager, national development for AvalonBay Communities Inc. “They absorbed our company culture, desire to have a warm inviting space and created a meaningful design that makes us proud to share it with our associates and professional colleagues. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with to create an office that energizes our associates about AvalonBay’s future in Colorado.”

Additional partners on the AvalonBay Communities space include Task PM, i2 Construction, Liz Graham Art Consulting and Projex Inc.
