High-end mountain bike company rides into Golden

150 Capital Drive
Commencal’s Golden showroom will look similar to its facility in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Commencal, a high-end mountain bike manufacturer that originated in Andorra, will move its U.S. headquarters from California to Golden.

Cresa represented the company in leasing 8,550 square feet of space, including a 3,500-sf showroom, at 150 Capital Drive, Suites 160-180.

“The active lifestyle Colorado is known for, paired with convenient trail access, makes Golden the perfect location to grow Commencal’s U.S. presence,” said Stéphane Pons, manager of Commencal USA. “The team at Cresa was essential in helping us weigh all options and in aligning current real estate needs with our future business objectives for our U.S. headquarters.”

The location in a new development at the northeast corner of C-470 and Interstate 70 is set to open this summer. The showroom faces the mountains and provides brand visibility from C-470.

“Golden is a tight market with a great mix of industry leading tenants,” said Matt Burton, senior adviser at Cresa. “It was tough early on to find the ideal space for them, given their desire to be located close to trail systems and need for strong visibility. After engaging the landlord and negotiating over the fall and winter months, we were able to substantially increase the landlord’s contribution to the tenant finishes so Commencal could construct a showroom that best represents their upscale products.”

Burton and Mike Slatter of Cresa represented Commencal. The landlord is 150 Capital Drive LLC.
