Howell Construction completed Comcast’s occupied, 135,000-square-foot corporate interior renovation, as well as the removal and replacement of the parking lot at its Denver Iliff location. Howell worked with Comcast, JLL and Acquilano to develop a project plan that executed the client’s vision on time and within budget. This second-generation space was completed in two major phases over two floors, modifying the following areas: a 65,000-sf call center and training center, 50,000-sf general office space, 10,000-sf back of house/dock/storage areas, 10,000-sf commercial kitchen, and removal and replacement of existing parking lot.

The renovated office features an open-to-structure concept, new paint, carpet, ceilings, rooftop condenser units, lighting, security system, audiovisual upgrades and relocation of furniture. The restrooms, break rooms, training areas and windows were remodeled, and structural and raised floor modifications were completed. The sunken atrium of the existing building was leveled out using Geofoam structural fill.

“It was exciting working with the entire team to provide Comcast with a modern, collaborative space for their employees,” said Marcus Pickworth, project manager for Howell Construction. “This facility includes a gym, cafeteria, open offices and modular conference rooms for team building.”
