JHL Constructors will begin work on the Jones District Phase 1 in Centennial

The mixed-use site is located on the west side of Interstate 25 adjacent to the Dry Creek light-rail station and Ikea.

JHL Constructors was selected for the Jones District Phase I infrastructure project. Located in Centennial, the project was awarded in October and is scheduled to be completed in early May.

Selected by project owner’s representative Independent District Engineering Services for owner Brue Baukol Capital Partners, JHL will perform horizontal and vertical construction work to build-out infrastructure to support future development on the site. This work includes site demolition, and 12,000 cubic yards cut to fill earthwork; installation of 14,000-plus linear feet of wet and dry utilities; and full composite asphalt paving of 18,000 square yards.

The earthwork and utilities installation will be self-performed by JHL’s infrastructure team, who will work closely with the Regional Transportation District and Ikea to maintain service access during construction.

“JHL is excited to partner with Brue Baukol and Independent District Engineering Services on the delivery of new infrastructure to support the long-term vision and goals of the Jones District development,” said Robert Wahl, vice president at JHL. “It is a privilege to deliver a first-class experience for all involved, while also sharing our passion for construction, people and our Colorado community.”

Currently known as the Jones District at Dry Creek Station, the mixed-use site is located on the west side of Interstate 25 adjacent to the Dry Creek light-rail station, Ikea and several prominent Colorado companies. It is one of the last available major mixed-use, transit-oriented development sites in the southeast Denver submarket boasting both scale and unparalleled mountain views. The Jones District has been master planned for up to 4 million square feet of office, residential, retail and hotel components.
