Joy Ramsey Spatz will take on the role of studio director for Eppstein Uhen Architects’ Denver office, BurkettEUA. Ramsey Spatz has more than 30 years of architecture and interior design experience in the Denver area, including 17 years with Burkettdesign, now BurkettEUA.

Rick Burkett, principal for BurkettEUA said, “Since joining EUA almost a year ago, we have discussed where my passion lies and the next steps for our Denver office. The decision to bring Joy on as studio director is a natural solution. We’ve overlapped for 19 of the last 28 years, I not only respect what she brings to the table, but also appreciate her intimate knowledge of our practice.”

This announcement follows the May 2017 expansion of EUA into the Denver region via the acquisition of Burkettdesign, now BurkettEUA. Ramsey Spatz will oversee operations for the office, provide leadership and help structure the firm for future growth. The studio director role also has an emphasis on mentoring and developing talent within the firm.

Ramsey Spatz will join BurkettEUA’s leadership team of Principals Rick Burkett, Michele Ponicsan, Gillian Hallock Johnson and Kitty Yuen and Associate Principal Ben Niamthet.
