Michael Ray joins McWhinney

Michael Ray joined McWhinney as executive vice president and general counsel. He is serving as chief legal adviser for the firm’s enterprise portfolio, and he is providing strategic legal direction on complex negotiations, joint venture opportunities and corporate growth initiatives.

Previously, Ray served as a partner of Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP in Los Angeles, where he focused primarily on the representation of private equity funds and real estate operating companies in connection with the sponsorship and formation of real estate investment vehicles and the execution of real estate joint ventures.

Ray earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis.
