Norris Design promotes Bill Mahar to principal
Bill Mahar, AICP, was promoted to principal of Norris Design in the firm’s Denver office.
Mahar has over 18 years of professional experience in urban planning, landscape architecture, active transportation, public health and the built environment, and community engagement in both the public and private sectors. As an advocate for the inclusion of public health into the planning process, he has led initiatives to foster consensus and promote the development of walkable communities, connected parks, and developing public policy integrating public health and planning goals.
His recent projects include the Town of Severance Transportation Plan, Jefferson County Trails Plan, Senderos Creek and Clear Creek Transit Village.
Mahar also serves as a National Health Leader for the Urban Land Institute and as co-chair for the ULI Colorado Chapter’s Building Healthy Places Committee.
