Stacey Root joins CannonDesign as health practice leader/senior vice president
Stacey Root, AIA, LEED AP BD + C, joined CannonDesign as the health practice leader in the firm’s Denver office. Root will lead practice and growth initiatives that realize the firm’s Living-Centered Design strategic vision and expand its health care footprint in the region.
Root’s design expertise is in mental and behavioral health, both inpatient and outpatient, as well as Federally Qualified Health Centers and university teaching clinics. She often works directly with end-users, and has facilitated dozens of upfront process improvement workshops which have led to better project outcomes.
Root previously was with Boulder Associates Architects, where she most recently split her time working on projects, process improvement consulting and business development work for the Dallas office. She was a founding core group member of the Colorado LCI Community of Practice and is active in the LCI National group, having presented on Lean topics nationwide.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the College of Wooster and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
