During the month of October, the industry received statewide recognition from a proclamation issued by Governor Jared Polis, designating October as Careers in Construction month, the fifth year in a row the governor of Colorado has issued this proclamation.

When faced with adversity, it is often difficult to know who and what to trust when it comes to sources of information and sound guidance. As the commercial real estate and construction industry have been forced to make several difficult decisions during this COVID-19 pandemic, that affect not only their employees, but also their communities as a whole, industry associations have become even more crucial to share and disseminate up-to-date information.

As the nation braces to defend against this unprecedented pandemic known as the coronavirus (COVID-19), this is honestly an article topic I never thought I would need to address in my lifetime. Albeit, as in any crisis affecting the design and construction, as well as the commercial real estate industry, AGC of Colorado stands strong to protect our members and continually advocate for our industry as a whole.
