The evolving health care landscape includes changes to amenities and types/locations of hospital services, including clinics in retail facilities, more accessible outpatient facilities, free-standing emergency departments and micro-hospitals.

We’ve been using VR for a few years now, primarily for 360-degree rendering and we share those with clients through Samsung Gear headsets in the office. Overall clients love it. It blends both seeing the design of their project with the novelty of being able to use a VR headset. We’ve had a very positive reaction and it’s certainly a real asset to our design process.

Mortenson broke ground earlier this month on the newest bioscience project at the Fitzsimons Innovation Community. Officials from the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority joined dignitaries from the University of Colorado, the city of Aurora, the Aurora and Denver Metro Chambers, along with U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner and U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman celebrated the groundbreaking.

April 6, 2018Frank Lloyd Wright-Style Lighting Recreated: Yellowstone’s Canyon Village
Visitors to Yellowstone National Park’s Canyon Village, the largest accommodation complex in the park, were pleasantly surprised last summer with brand-new accommodations. The stately, welcoming new lodges were the result of a two-phase, three-year transformation of the 410 obsolete cabin-style units, originally constructed in 1957, into five modern, multistory stone and wood structures (with an equal number of units) built in the grand lodge tradition of the National Park Service.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction recently began demolition of the now-vacant building on the northeast corner of Platte and 15th streets in downtown Denver. The property was formerly home to Natural Grocers and Confluence Kayaks; it represents the future site of Platte Fifteen, a five-story, 151,736-square-foot mixed-use development.
