An iconic gateway building for the Denver Health cam pus is nearing completion at the intersection of Bannock Street and Speer Boulevard in Denver. The new facility focuses on the needs of outpatients, visitors and care providers, and will dramatically increase access and convenience for the nearly 678,000 outpatient visits to Denver Health each year.

Mortenson Development Inc. and Seavest Healthcare Properties will joint venture on SCL Health’s new 43,732-square foot Class A medical office building at the intersection of West 91st Place and Candelas Parkway within Candelas in Arvada. Vertix Builders began construction recently on the new Parker MOB III medical office building on the Parker Adventist Medical Campus. As a health care construction specialist, Vertix Builders will be working with a team that includes RTA Architects, Med Development and Parker Adventist.

A local partnership that buys and repositions troubled medical office buildings reaped the rewards of its efforts with the $31.2 million sale of three of its 12 buildings in metro Denver and Colorado Springs. American Healthcare Investors, which manages health care real estate valued at more than $4 billion, bought the buildings from a partnership that includes Neil Littmann and W. Scott Reichenberg of Signature Partners Inc. and The Colorado Group, and James Turpen and Virginia Hartmere of Centum Health Properties Inc.

The start of construction has been announced for Synergy Medical, a new 102,000-square foot medical office development that will provide office and retail space to the Swedish Medical Center campus. Calcon Constructors is the general contractor and The Mulhern Group designed the project.

Turner Construction Co. recently celebrated the topping out of the new Denver Health Outpatient Medical Center. This marked the completion of the first-ever Sideplate, fully bolted, moment frame, steel connection system in Colorado.

Turner Construction recently topped out Denver Health’s new 293,000-square-foot Outpatient Medical Center.  Construction is on schedule for completion of the seven-story OMC in 2020.
