Howell Construction, Gensler and Jacobs recently completed Western Union’s global headquarters relocation project, referred to as “Project Hometown.” The Western Union Co. is a Fortune 500 financial services and communications company that is now headquartered in the Denver Tech Center. 

Vertix Builders last month broke ground on Zeppelin Development’s Kabin, 194 workforce housing units in River North at 3461 Ringsby Court. 

Hyder Construction last month broke ground on The Hooper, a nine-story, mixed-use project located at 2600 Welton St. in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood.Palisade Partners is developing the project, which is adjacent to the Rossonian Hotel.

Christian Living Communities and the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce recently held a grand opening celebration for Eagle Pointe, CLC’s support office building in Meridian office park. Pinkard Construction Co. was the general contractor while Galloway Architects designed the project. 

GH Phipps recently broke ground on 135 Adams, a fivestory micro-apartment building. Designed by Saiber Saiber for Pando Holdings, the development will include 37 units, which are approximately 300 to 800 square feet. 

Turner Construction recently topped out Denver Health’s new 293,000-square-foot Outpatient Medical Center.  Construction is on schedule for completion of the seven-story OMC in 2020.

The Pauls Corp.’s Laurel Cherry Creek recently opened at 155 Steele St. in Cherry Creek North. Built by Haselden Construction and designed by Johnson Nathan Strohe, Laurel Cherry Creek is a 12-story, 260,255-square-foot luxury condominium community. 

Mortenson Construction last month broke ground on Stonebridge Cos.’ redevelopment of the historic original Emily Griffith Opportunity School into a pedestrian-friendly hotel and retail destination. Stonebridge Cos. serves as the property owner and developer, and will operate the future hotel upon the project’s completion. Mortenson is the design/builder. 

Saunders Construction and the University of Denver recently broke ground on the new first year residence hall, which will be named the Dimond Family Residential Village thanks to a $5 million gift from the Dimond Family Foundation. 

GE Johnson Construction Co. recently topped out 260 North Josephine, bringing Cherry Creek North.Owner Elevation Development Group, architect Open Studio Architecture and general contractor GE Johnson have collaborated to deliver this project across multiple zoning boundaries and in an extremely dense work area.
